In early 2020, the Guus Hiddink Foundation agreed to sponsor the “Health Blind Zone Support Project” along with the Catholic Medical Center Korea.
From its very inception, the Guus Hiddink Foundation has focused on helping children from impoverished backgrounds who have cancer or require corneal transplant.
We have then expanded our vision to include adult patients as well. To this end, the Foundation has launched a project to provide support to leukemia patients, especially to those unfortunate enough to slip through the national healthcare system.
Choi 00, who was required corneal transplant, was selected as the eleventh candidate for the Foundation's project.
We are now pleased to announce that Choi 00 has made a swift recovery and has returned to her family. We hope for her speedy return to society as well.
And a the guardian of Choi 00 sent us a valuable thanking message. We have uploaded her handwritten letter on our webpage.
In the future, the Foundation will continue to support patients with leukemia and corneal transplant required in cooperation with hospitals affiliated with the Catholic Medical Center.
Through our efforts, we hope to not only help the needy but inspire others to do the same.
