Today, FIFA presidential candidate Michael van Praag paid a visit to the Korea Football Association (KFA). Van Praag was warmly welcomed by KFA President Chunh Mong-Gyu and Vice-President D.D. Kim.
The conversation focused mainly on the future of FIFA and the upcoming presidential elections. Van Praag: 'We had a friendly and open conversation. I feel that the Korean FA has a very clear vision on the future of FIFA and that many of our ideas truly match.'
Michael van Praag was accompanied by by Guus Hiddink, head coach of The Netherlands national team and former Korean head coach. Hiddink accompanied Van Praag on this visit to express his support, but he's also in Korea to open Dream Field number thirteen for his Guus Hiddink Foundation. The Guus Hiddink Foundation installs artificial turf pitches to enable people with disabilities, but also neighborhood kids, to play sports.
